Catherine Game and Dani Abboud from Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods will present on the Thrive Together Springboard, as well as the ways that their organization and partners have adapted to meet the rapidly changing needs of local communities during COVID-19. Discussion and break-out groups will explore how NCH2 partners can adopt a renewed focus on equity and join the national movement to create thriving, sustainable communities amidst the pandemic and a new political era.
Participants will:
- Learn about the Thrive Together Springboard, introduced by the Wellbeing Trust earlier this year;
- Map how our organizations fit in to this larger national movement; and
- Identify key roles that NCH2 can play in furthering health equity and access to nature in 2021.

NCH2 members are invited to be part of Chicago Region Trees Initiative’s Annual Partner Recognition Celebration and learn from an afternoon of inspiring speakers -- see our stellar lineup below! And, as we do every year, we'll recognize urban forestry stars across our region with the CRTI Urban Forestry Awards.
The Chicago Region Trees Initiative (CRTI) is a partnership for coordinated action on key issues facing trees. It is the largest such initiative in the country, with leading organizations and agencies from across the seven-county metropolitan region working together. CRTI is leveraging funding, knowledge, skills, and expertise to build a healthier, more diverse regional forest.
